Have you recently upgraded to a new iPhone? Are you looking for how to transfer contacts from iPhone to iPhone? And if you are looking for an easy way to transfer your contacts over to your new device without having to re-enter them all one by one, we are here to help you out.
In this post, I will be showing you how to transfer contacts from iPhone to iPhone. There are a few different ways you can go about transferring contacts between iPhones, but there are two main ways that we’d recommend doing this.
The first method I’ll be showing you uses iCloud to transfer contacts wirelessly and the second method is to use iTunes on your computer to transfer your contacts. These two methods are both fairly easy and take about the same amount of time.

Method 1: How to transfer contacts from iPhone to iPhone using iCloud.
Let’s get into the instructions for the the iCloud method. To begin, you will need to backup your old iPhone to iCloud.
Step 1: Open the settings on your old iPhone, then tap your name at the top of your screen.
Step 2: Now tap iCloud
Step 3: Scroll down and select iCloud backup
Step 4: If you don’t already have iCloud backup enabled, tap the switch at the top to enable the feature.
Step 5: Then tap back up now.
Step 6: Wait a few minutes for your data to finish saving to your iCloud storage space.
Step 7: Once the backup is complete start up your new iPhone. Go through the process of setting it up as you normally would.
Step 8: When you’re presented with the option to log into your iCloud account enter the same email address and password for the account you have signed it on your old iPhone.
Step 9: When you’re done setting up your device, open your iCloud settings.
Step 10: Scroll down until you see contacts in the list. Make sure the slider beside it is green to signal that contacts are being synced.
Step 11: Now go back to your home screen and tap the contacts icon to see your contacts list.
Method 2: How to transfer contacts from iPhone to iPhone using iTunes
Now let’s get into the second method using iTunes. To start you’ll need to back up your iPhone to iTunes. I am doing this on a Mac but you can also do this on PC as well. The iTunes software works the same on both.
Step 1: Plug your old iPhone into your computer. iTunes may automatically open but if it doesn’t click iTunes to start it up.
Step 2: At the top of the iTunes window click the iPhone button.
Step 3: Then click backup now
Step 4: When the backup is complete you can eject your iPhone from your computer
Step 5: Now plug in your new iPhone. Open the details for your new iPhone then click restore backup. This will allow you to import the data from the backup you just did of your old iPhone onto your new iPhone.
Step 6: It might take a while for the backup to load onto your new iPhone. Once the proces is complete your device will reboot automatically.
Step 7: After it’s rebooted, you’ll be able to open the contacts app on your new iPhone and see all your contacts from your old iPhone on your new one.
Besides the two methods we showed in this post, you can also transfer your contacts using a third party software or view your contacts by signing into your iCloud account on iCloud.com. The two methods we showed in detail using iCloud and iTunes are the safest and easiest ways to transfer contacts from one iPhone to another.
That’s everything you need to know on how to transfer contacts from iPhone to iPhone.
